What does a Hydrologic Technician earn?
On average, hydrologic technicians earn around $61,500 per year in the U.S.. Hydrologic technicians work in laboratories and other settings, collecting and analysing water samples to monitor changes in water quality, assess pollution levels, and predict the effects of weather and climate on water supplies. They use a variety of methods to measure water samples, from sophisticated instruments to low-tech manual surveys. A technician can choose to specialise in a particular area such as groundwater, oceanography, or meteorology.
